Supporting Student Success

UCR is a community of uniquely talented individuals working together to inspire and enable students to succeed, excel and make a difference in our world.

Student Affairs is an interconnected family of faculty and staff that plays an active role in support of the academic program by supporting classroom assignments, course scheduling and records management through the Registrar's Office , and coordinates the ordering and sale of textbooks and pride apparel through the UCR Campus Store.

Helping Students with Academics

Student Affairs partners with faculty and staff in numerous ways throughout the years to make a difference in students' lives. Early on, students learn about college opportunities through Early Academic Outreach. Later, freshmen find success through Residential Life's Living Learning Communities, which places them in academic-based living options allowing them to experience their first year of college life with a group of students who share a similar major, as well as network with faculty and mentors in their field.

Helping Students with Health and Wellness

Student Affairs partners with departments across campus to support student success through making sure their basic needs are me. Students can access prevention resources and get involved promoting healthy minds, bodies and communities at The Well and care for their health at Student Health Services. Students needing support for challenges or crises can go to Counseling and Psychological Services (SHS), Student Affairs Case Management, or visit mentalhealth.ucr.edu for a other resource options. Resources for Faculty and Staff

An array of Student Affairs services that support students and campus life are also available to faculty and staff. We invite faculty and staff to consider a membership at the Student Recreation Center, take advantage of on-campus childcare provided by Child Development Centers and enjoy refreshments and meals in our on-campus dining options.

In the Division of Student Affairs, we understand how essential both faculty and staff are to UCR's thriving future, and we will continue to serve and encourage two of our campus' most precious assets.
